The Moooi Zio Dining Chair is Marcel Wanders’ approach to bridging Scandinavian simplicity with those flowing organic shapes that make dining chairs feel less utilitarian and more like something you’d actually choose to sit in. The solid oak frame has these curved lines that connect the seat to the back in a continuous flow, but then everything’s finished with clean, straight-edge cuts that keep it from looking too crafty or rustic. Available in multiple wood stains including cinnamon, white washed, or a combination of both if you can’t decide between warm and cool tones. The cushioned seat and back provide enough padding for comfortable multi-course dinners without being so plush that you sink in and can’t reach your plate properly. What’s smart about the proportions is how the wooden structure stays visible and light-looking while still providing substantial support.
